I LOVE interior design, which is why I started this business-to create a beautiful and functional haven for you to enjoy. The stunning homes you see have been an INVESTMENT by those who live there. Most of the time they have invested money to hire an expert interior designer, and invested in excellent quality renovation materials, furniture and decor that suits their needs and makes their house a HOME to enjoy!
I use the word ‘invest’ because this is a LUXURY service with long term solutions in mind, and NOT a cheap/quick fix/small budget service.
The reality is, if you want excellent results, you NEED to invest the appropriate amount of time and money to achieve that.

In short, there is no ‘one size fits all’ for a room, as each project will be unique.
The cost of decorating a space completely depends on the type of room, furniture pieces, whether there are custom made pieces, items made in Australia instead of overseas (Aussie made will almost always be more expensive), items purchased wholesale which can only be accessed through a designer, or retail stores… the list goes on.
When I’m working on your home, I will provide an itemised list of the products and cost.
For example, a queen size bedroom starting from scratch would include a bed frame or base, queen size mattress, bed linen, cushions, bedside tables, bedside lamps, dresser, armchair, mirror, artwork, pendant lighting, wardrobe, curtains, rug, smaller decor items… and that’s just furnishing. You might need/choose to have new flooring installed, walls painted, built in wardrobes installed, electrical work etc.
For bedroom furnishings alone (using a queen size bed & bedding) I would estimate $7000+
This amount is seperate from the design service cost.
That sounds like a lot, but when you break down all the items…well that’s how much it costs! Like I said above, redecorating is an INVESTMENT and a LUXURY service.
Keep reading for how to achieve your dream home…

Ahhh the word designers hear ALL the time! On makeover shows, often they’ll show you ways of redecorating ‘on a budget’. This can be done, but often using cheap products that won’t last long, or more expensive and time consuming DIY projects. (I love DIY projects by the way! Realistically they do take TIME, tools and a certain skill level depending on the project, so you’d just need to consider whether you can confidently take on a project and don’t mind the work, or trust and pay a professional).
‘Budget’ ACTUALLY means an allocated amount of money for a product or service.
It DOESN’T mean cheap.
So with that in mind, when we talk about ‘budgets’, it’s simply working out how much a room will realistically cost and whether we can achieve the final result soon, OR create the room over time/work on it in stages and purchase items as you can afford to.
Either way is totally fine-I’m happy to work with you over time. This is where a complimentary phone call will help-we can discuss your project, expectations, timeframe, budget and work out the best service for you!

I would describe my style as timeless, a mix of contemporary and unique pieces, a love of natural materials, light colours, good quality and COMFY furniture, practical and well-proportioned design, and calm.
No red, leopard print, shiny plastic, ‘live love laugh’ signs, crazy patterns or multiple feature pieces (often eclectic design will incorporate pattern-on-pattern-on-pattern!), no mixed metals or mixed wood colours (just one consistent colour will do!) and RARELY ikea products.
I definitely understand it is YOUR home at the end of the day and you need to love it, so I’ll try and find ways to include all your special photos, memories and sentimental items.
